From Living Large in Texas to Living LARGER in Our Tiny Floating Home

Ten years ago, we lived in our dream home on a big piece of land in Texas, and we could NEVER have imagined how life would change over the next decade.

It didn't happen overnight, but we've successfully transitioned from life on land to full-time liveaboard life.

We want to show YOU how to make that transition, too!

We raised our two, now-grown sons in Texas, and that’s where we bought our first boat, a SeaDoo Speedster. It’s a little boat made for BIG fun, and we brought it out to the California desert when we relocated several years ago.

One weekend, we trailered the little jet boat to San Diego and serendipitously met a couple who was selling their “starter” liveaboard boat. She was a humble but adorable 1983 Bayliner. A few weeks later, we were officially owners of a liveaboard boat in downtown San Diego. As an homage to our love of the South, we christened her "Sea Y'all!"

Liveaboard Life?

Heck Yeah!

After quickly discovering that the liveaboard life was DEFINITELY a fit for us, we began the search for Sea Y’all version 2.0. We looked at exactly three boats, all in one day. When we first laid eyes on this DeFever 44, we instantly fell in love and knew she was meant to be ours!

Four years later we are full-time liveaboards in San Diego, loving life more than ever!

We’re just a regular couple offering living proof that Act Two of life can be the biggest and best adventure of your life! We DREAMED BIG and then chased that dream until it became reality.

OUR MISSION?
To inspire other couples to do the same thing.
